She spoke the words and asked me to repeat them.
“Even now, I love and accept myself unconditionally.”
I started to speak, but couldn’t. Something stopped me, held my tongue from speaking.
Write it out, I told her. Maybe that would make a difference.
She reached for a notepad and wrote out the words in large block handwriting at the bottom of the top page. When she done, she pushed the pad across the table toward me.
I held the tablet in front of me, looking at it before finally speaking.
Nothing magical happened once I finished.
But at least it was a start.
